Registration Fee

A $250 non-refundable registration fee is required to begin a placement search (does not include babysitting services). Should you choose to move forward with one of our candidates, your search fee will be credited toward your placement fee upon hire. Our $250 registration fee retains our services for your search and includes:

  • 1 hour intake consultation with the agency owner, Trudie. 

  • Comprehensive BBN Hiring Guide

  • Access to candidates who have passed our BBN Hiring Standards and Screening Process.

1. Standard Placement Package

A one-time placement fee of $1000.

Tutors: 

A one-time placement fee of $25 per a booking.

2. Special Placement Package

A one-time placement fee of $1600.

4. Temporary Placements: Temporary placements are on a short-term basis of 90 days or less. Clients often use this service when they are in-between nannies, still determining on a long-term childcare solution, or need extra coverage for an extended period of time. A one-time placement fee of $650.

NEWBORN & INFANT CARE: A one-time agency fee of $550 for 90-day replacement policy

All our Newborn and Infant Care candidates go through the same screening process and background check as everyone else. If you want to book newborn care at a day rate, the agency fee is $30 the first day of the week, and $20 each additional day within the same week. 

Newborn Nannies are available for one to seven nights per week, and can be arranged upon arrival home from the hospital or months in advance. 

 

Newborn Care Specialists are available for 4-24 hour shifts, one to seven days/nights per week. Families can schedule a specialist for a handful of dates after they bring their newborn home or for several months consistently.  

Postpartum Doula can visit with your family just a handful of times after the birth of your baby or on an ongoing basis for up to six months. Postpartum Doulas are available for 4-24 hour shifts, for one or more days/nights per week.

OUR SCREENING PROCESS

Beach Baby Nannies is consistently screening and selecting only the top candidates to fill the variety of positions our families and clients are looking for! Many of our Nannies have a strong background in education, child development, and have some form of higher collegiate education making them highly qualified in their field!

Each applicant we represent must meet or surpass the minimum qualifications listed below:

  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience with exceptional references
  • Legal to work in the United States​
  • Proficient in English (read, write, speak)
  • Have a valid US Driver’s License or CA ID
  • Clean driving record and 5 point background check
  • CPR/First Aid Certified (willing to get certified)
  • Social Media Check
  • Trustline fingerprint registered upon hire
  • In-person interview with a Beach Baby Nannies team member.

In addition to the minimum requirements we welcome candidates with but do not require:

  • Child Development Courses
  • Formal Education (2 or 4 Year Degree)
  • Teaching/ Tutoring Experience
  • Passion for the Arts and Theater
  • The ability to speak more than one language.
  • Passion for cooking
  • Special Certifications; Swimming, Different Parenting Styles (ie. RIE, Attachment)

  • Travel Experience

Babysitting Subscription And Short-Term Rates

*No registration fee required

Choose from two payment options:

  • Daily rate: $25 the first day of the week, and $10 each additional day within the same week.

    •  Ideal for the those who need back-up care and someone reliable, weekly help with minimal hours, or occasional date-nights/events. ​

  • 6-month Subscription: $375 

    • ​Ideal for those who rely on babysitters often and want the security and assurance of accessing child care during their busy schedules. ​

Minimum Requirements: 

  • 24-hour notice

  • Once booked placement fee is non-refundable

  • Rate paid to sitter: $17-$25 per hour

  • 4-hour minimum for babysitter 

Event Babysitters : $30 per day booking fee for each babysitter booking

  • The babysitter is paid directly at the end of her shift the agreed hourly rate.

  •  $20-25 hr. depending on the sitter

  • Cancellations are non-refundable once booked

Hotel Babysitters : $30 per day booking fee for each babysitter booking

  • The babysitter is paid directly at the end of her shift the agreed hourly rate and is paid for a minimum of three hours.

  • $20-$25 hour depending on the sitter

  • Cancellations are non-refundable once booked 

  • Minimum of 4 hours 

In the event that you and your employee separate during the replacement policy time period of employment for any reason, we will offer you a partial credit of your original fee to be applied towards agency fees for any future search. This credit is pro-rated based on the employee’s last day in the position. We provide our services under a written Family Registration Agreement, and our Placement Counselors can provide a more detailed outline of all of the terms and fees mentioned.
